Online buyers cannot touch or try your products, so photography must do the selling. Use a white or light gray background with natural light from a window (or a $30 lightbox), shoot from multiple angles including close-ups of texture and labels, and always include a lifestyle shot showing the product in use. Smartphone cameras are sufficient — consistent lighting and clean backgrounds matter more than camera quality.
