About This Dataset

Florida health inspections go far beyond restaurants. Multiple state agencies inspect beauty salons, barbershops, nail salons, tattoo studios, public pools, hotels, and licensed daycares — all with public inspection records.

Facility types covered:

  • DBPR Cosmetology Board: 25,000–30,000 salons, spas, nail salons statewide
  • DBPR Barber Board: 5,000–7,000 barbershops
  • DBPR / DOH: 3,000–4,000 tattoo & body piercing studios
  • FL DOH (Environmental Health): 8,000–12,000 public pools & spas
  • DBPR Hotels & Restaurants: 8,000–10,000 hotels & lodging
  • DCF: 10,000–12,000 licensed childcare facilities

Access: DBPR data is available via bulk CSV download from the public records portal. DOH pool data is queryable via FLHealthCharts. Daycare data requires the CareSearch portal or FOIA for bulk access.

All data is freely republishable under Florida Statute 119 (Public Records Law).
